Ladywell Bathhouse

To create a new use for the dilapidated Victorian Bathhouse in Ladywell. The outcome must address a global issue, in my case climate change and rewilding.

Project year: 2025 - 2026

The Ladywell Playtower is a Grade II listed Victorian Bathhouse, built in 1884. It was built in a Venetian Gothic style. The building had two pools, first and second class. The baths closed in 1965 and has been left derelict since 2004 despite several attempts to repurpose it. I chose this building for my project because I was immediately inspired.

People can choose from four different types of seating, in woven willow pods, around a hydroponic system, in a treetop canopy pod, or in the sunken courtyard.
